Dr. Jacci Piet
Dr. Jacci Piet is originally from the Detroit area of Michigan and has lived in many places. She attained her undergraduate degree from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science/Food Science program. Throughout undergrad and veterinary school, she became interested in emergency and critical care and started to work as an emergency technician in 2006. Dr. Jacci graduated veterinary school in 2014, from St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies, she completed her clinical rotation at the Ohio State University. Then she moved to the Dallas area to start her veterinary career.
Dr. Jacci Piet realized emergency and critical care medicine was her passion. While training and working alongside several specialists who helped advance her knowledge with difficult cases in the DFW area over the last 10 years, she continues to expand her knowledge in emergency exotic medicine. She also loves training/mentoring doctors and technicians in the emergency field. Her areas of special interest include surgery, endoscopy, neurology, orthopedic care, and treating some exotic animals.
During free time, Dr. Piet loves to read, travel, hike, and visit new places with her dogs. She also likes to dance and hula hoop with fire and LED lights, and spend time with friends and family. At home, she has a Catahoula leopard / Pit Bull mix named Daisy Devil, a Rottweiler named Dexter Demon, a bearded dragon named Mufasa, newly added to the family after the passing of Taka a black moor goldfish, are 3 fancy goldfish Simba, Nala, and Zazu.
