Check-In Procedures and Form
Please be Patient and Understanding while we assess your pet's status and determine the appropriate course of action. Be Kind to our staff as we deal with an increase of urgent/emergency cases and know that we are doing our absolute Best for you and your pets.

Priority 1
Red/ER – May survive if Life-saving measures are applied
Examples:
- Respiratory Distress
- Difficulty breathing
- Collapse
- Straining to urinate/blood in urine male cat
- Unable to walk
- Paralyzed
- Bloat (GDV)
- Heat stroke
- Actively seizuring
- Poisoning
- Snake bite
- Severe Trauma (Hit by car, severe bite wounds)
- Open fracture
- Excessive Bleeding
- Anaphylactic Shock
Priority 2
Orange/Urgent – Likely to survive if care is given within a few hours
Examples:
- Birthing issues in active labor
- Multiple seizure within 24 hours but not actively seizuring
- Known Foreign body ingestion causing illness
- No appetite greater than 24 hours
- Severe/persistent vomiting
- Diarrhea with vomiting and loss of appetite
- Poisoning/toxic ingestion
- Aggressive coughing without distress
Priority 3
Yellow/Semi urgent - Likely to survive if care is given within a few hours
Examples:
- Closed fractures
- Acute vomiting 2 or less episodes
- Acute Diarrhea
- Bowel Obstruction
- Urinary issues
- Known Foreign body ingestion with no symptoms
- Small wounds or punctures
- Allergic reaction (Hives, Facial swelling
- Squinting, discharge, or swollen eye
- Mild trauma
- Fractured toe nail
- Limping
- Mild coughing
Priority 4
Green/Less urgent
Examples:
- Skin conditions (itching/scratching or hair loss)
- One seizure in full recovery
- Abscess
- Chronic disease or illness with no major changes
- Chronic weight loss
- Ear infection
